Mr. Abels is the Central Unit Assistant Principal covering the alphabet P-Z. Mr. Abels was an American Government & Criminal Studies teacher at the High School.  He also served as the Social Studies Department Chair and Principal Designate.  Mr. Abels has been teaching and coaching since 1998, and is a graduate of Northmont High School and the University of Dayton.  Coach Abels has also been inducted into the Hall of Fame for Northmont Athletics, Northmont Football, and Northmont Baseball.
