Welcome back to a new school year. Hopefully everyone had a nice summer. I was looking so forward to seeing the students in the library this year. Mr. Grone decided that we need to wait a little bit, since we can't really social distance in there. I am seeing students in their classrooms. I am reading to the students and doing some fun library activities with them. I am anxiously waiting til we can visit the library again and start checking out books. I have a lot of new books for the students to read. Hopefully we will get there soon.

     I have also been trained to teach SEL (Social Emotional Learning) this year. This involves student involvement with a partner and special books that have been purchased by the district. I am excited to work with the students in this area.

I'm updating the library news.  We came back into the library in January. I am so happy to be back in my room and have students in the library once again. I had to do a little work, so we could social distance, but we are doing great now. The students are checking out library books and they are happy about that. It is hard to believe we are getting closer to the end of the year. Please make sure your child is returning their books each week.  There will be more news to come shortly.

It is hard to believe that we have finished another school year. It is always hard to say good-bye, but the summer will go by fast and we will  be back before we know it. I would like to thank all my students for returning their library books. I only had 3 books not returned. That is so awesome. Offering candy does the trick. I hope everyone has a great and relaxing summer. I look forward to seeing all the students back in August.  See you then.
